The Cougars knew the Wolverines of Au Gres were going to give them a game; and for the first half, the Wolverines did just that. It was a battle for every point in the first period. The Wolverines came out and scored the first two-pointer of the game after shutting out the Cougars for the first two minutes. The Cougars fell behind 7-4 but seconds later a three-pointer from Adam Pijaszek #20 knotted it up again. The scoring went back and forth from there, but the Cougars fell behind 13-11 at the end of the first period.

The Cougar continued to keep the score close early in the second and took the lead about halfway through. From there the Cougars soared to a big lead and never looked back. After a rousing dunk from Drew 'air' Janer #23, the Cougars blasted their way to a 29-21 point lead at the end of the first half.

The Cougars hit the court running in the third period. Seven points from Pijaszek, and eight from top-scorer Justin Villano # 40 kept the Cougars ahead of the Wolverines 48-34 at the end of the third period. The key to success was the Cougars rebounding. Defensively, the Cougars allowed no quality second chances to the Wolverines, and, offensively, Justin Villano made the Wolverines pay with his superb rebound percentage.

The fourth period was textbook All Saints basketball. Allowing only 7 points to be scored against them, while trying to hold their lead, the Cougars cruised to their first playoff victory of the postseason. "We came out tough tonight, and if we can repeat that on Friday we'll be ready to make some noise in Regionals next week." That's what 28 point scorer Justin Villano said of his team's current mindset. The powerhouse Cougars will battle Michigan Lutheran Seminary on Friday for the District crown and their ticket to the Regionals.
