Bay County Health Department Slates Information Sessions on Smoke Free Law
Smoke-Free Law in Effect May 1, 2010
As of May 1, 2010, all workplaces, bars, and restaurants in Michigan will be smoke-free.
As of May 1, 2010, all workplaces, bars, and restaurants in Michigan will be smoke-free, County Executive Thomas L. Hickner says in his new newsletter published on line.
Compliance with the law is the responsibility of the owner, manager, or other person in charge of the establishment. Local health departments are also responsible for the enforcement of the smoke-free law.
The Bay County Health Department will be holding free public informational sessions regarding the smoke-free law in April.
Informational sessions will be held at the following locations/times. Each session will last approximately 45 minutes.
Pinconning Library
April 7, 2010 at 6:30pm
Auburn Library
April 8, 2010 at 6:30pm
Sage Library
April 13, 2010 at 2:30pm
Alice and Jack Wirt Public Library
April 16, 2010 at 9:00am, 11:am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm
