The Immanuel Lutheran Vacation Bible School is an annual event. Parish Assistant, Betsy Bourassa, does a phenomenal job every year making the event "come to life" for the students. This Year's Theme is High Seas Expedition.
According to parishioner Kimberly Ann Bublitz, "I think we could honestly say that Betsy 'went overboard' this year with her great decorating!"
The ship is 18 X 31 feet, and it is "absolutely AWESOME!," says Bublitz.
Everyone is very excited and, with extremely high energy, students go on an incredible journey. Since the humongous ship is in the front of the church, everyone is on board for this God-revealing adventure. On their adventure, the Bible Schoolers learn that God's word is true, comforting, surprising, life-changing, and that His Word is for everyone.
The Vacation Bible School runs from 5-8:00p.m. this week, through Thursday, June 17, 2010. On Thursday evening, the Bible School will have a community outreach Hot Dog BBQ. Hundreds are expected to attend.
