The fourth installment of the Art Sample Pro-Am Basketball League held at the JJKN Hoops Training Center took place Tuesday night. It featured two lopsided games, one forfeit and a showdown between Northern Concrete and JJKN Newsham that didn't disappoint.

The evening started with Team Cardinals defeating the Matadors 110-60. Keithan Jackson led the Cardinals with 31 (including six triples), Chris Webb 20 and Dan Genther netting 18. Team Cardinals hit 21 three-point shots to lead their charge. The Matadors (2-2) were led by Nathan Pike who scored 14 and Bob Pike who finished with 12, all from outside the arc. Team Cardinals won their second game in a row to even their record at 2-2 heading into Thursday's showdown with Deep Impact (2-2) at 6pm.

The second game featured the perfect JJKN Pickvet (4-0) nailing River Rock 91-29. Willie Pickvet and Aaron List led JJKN Hoops with 26 and 24 respectively. River Rock fell to 0-4 in the summer were led by Chad Causley and Pat Goretski. Both players finished with 10 each. JJKN Pickvet will play in the showdown game Thursday night at 7pm versus Northern Concrete (3-1) with 1st place hanging in the balance. River Rock returns to action Thursday at 8pm versus JJKN Thumb (0-4).

The Showdown Game of the evening featured JJKN Newsham rallying from 25 points down in the second half to nip previously undefeated Northern Concrete 93-91. Northern Concrete led 53-37 at halftime behind Nick Simpson's (All Saints, UM Dearborn) 23 and Charles Dixon's 15 first half points.

With two starters arriving at halftime due to game time mix-up, JJKN Newsham outscored Concrete 56-38 to finish off the comeback. Ryan Janer (All Saints, Ashland) nailed 7 three pointers to lead JJKN Newsham with 25 while the late arriving starters Stephen Cramer (USA, Hope, Germany Pro A) and Jordan Bitzer (USA, CMU) knocked in 22 and 20 respectively, all in the second half.

Simpson led all scorers with 38 while Dixon finished with 33. While Northern Concrete played without two starters (Rich Garcia & Eric Dufort), the game featured the return of JJKN Newsham standouts Justin Blevins (Marion, CMU) and Dante Williams (Romulus, SVSU) who returned from injury and are expected to be active for the remainder of the summer.
