September is nearing and that means the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year. While you're making appointments for your child's school/sports physicals remember to schedule their dental appointments as well.
Tooth decay is still the most common chronic childhood disease and, left untreated, it can impair a child's ability to eat, speak, sleep and learn. Preventative check-ups twice per year can head off childhood decay.
If your child plays sports be sure to talk to your dentist about the importance of a sports mouth guard. When it comes to protecting your smile during active sports, a well-fitting mouth guard is an essential piece of athletic gear. Mouth guards buffer impact that may otherwise cause broken teeth, jaw injuries, or cuts to the lip, tongue or face.
At West Bay Dental, PC we strive to keep you informed and educated. Please feel free to contact our office with any questions. We are also accepting new patients and invite you to become part of our West Bay family.
Our friendly staff will help you schedule your first appointment. We look forward to serving you.
