It was the end of season for race fans at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, Michigan as the conclude of the Show Me the CARFAX 400 race weekend ended on Sunday, August 15, 2010.
It wasn't just the heat on the race track but also Nascar fans endured the well over 90 degree temperatures, and appreciated the occasional cloud coverage throughout the day.
It's not just the race that die hard race fans enjoy, but the whole experience with friends and family including camping, cookouts, tailgating, collecting souvenirs of your favorite drivers, and of course racing at it's finest, it's a tradition.
Rock Band, Saving Abel's Jared Weeks sang the National Anthem as multiple world Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield made the official announcement to drivers to start their engines.
On Sunday, (August 15, 2010), it was NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Kevin Harvick (#29 Shell/Pennzoil Chevrolet), of Bakersfield, California who took home all the glory in the 200 lap (400 mile) NASCAR race.
Harvick took over again with eleven laps remaining as he passed Denny Hamlin. This made Harvick's 3rd victory of the season. It was RCR Team's first win at MIS since Dale Earnhardt's victory in 1990.

Overall Carfax 400 Race Results
Expect the return of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing to MIS for another spectacular race season in June and August of 2011.
Over the past four years MIS has invested nearly $55 million on upgrades, including this year, wider seats in the center and turn 3 grandstands, wider infield campsites and a new pit road suite/media center building and will continue with improvements for the 2011 season.
The Grandstand seating holds 136,384
The 2-mile oval race track hosted some of the nations' greatest racing, with NASCAR and the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Racing Series.
