State Theater's 'Taste & Theatrics' Event Always A Treat

Winner of the 1927 Bugatti "Type 35 B" Replica Announced

It was a celebration of culinary delights and cultural significance under the Big Tops in front of the State Theater, Thursday, September 9, 2010 for the annual Taste & Theatrics!

(Right) Mike Bacigalupo, State Theater Executive Director, said, "The evening was a huge success for the theater, we had a great crowd despite the cool weather, and great entertainment all evening long, everyone had a great time."

Bacigalupo continued, "I want to give special thanks to all of the food vendors, All Occasions Party Supply, and Bay Landscaping for all of their help, and looking forward to next years event."

Unique sample foods as well as tasty desserts, were offered by local vendors which included:
  • Gatsby's Seafood & Steakhouse
  • Kingfish
  • St. Laurents' Brothers
  • Vince's Stock Pot
  • The Atrium
  • G's Pizzeria
  • Krzysiak House
  • Meats & Moore
  • Old City Hall
  • Sweet Boutique
  • Tim Horton's/Cold Stone Creamery
  • Waterfront Market


  • Ideal Party Store supplied all the beverages for the event.

    Entertainment by Andy Reed and also special guests the always enjoyable Michigan State University Dance Team.

    Frank Witley was announced the winner 1927 Bugatti "Type 35 B" Replica. (Witley was not present at event)

    The car was generously donated by Tom McDonald of Saginaw, with the help of 1930s members Don and Betty Carlyon and was restored and cared for by William Dreist (Automobile Restorer from Saginaw)

    Also cash prizes included, 5th place $500.00, 4th Place $1000.00, 3rd Place $1500.00, 2nd Place $2000.00
