October is an exciting month children, families and early childhood
educators at the Bay County Library System!
Ben Spitzer: Magic and More will celebrate books with magic, comedy and
juggling at the Sage Branch Library (100 E. Midland St., Bay City) on
Wednesday, October 6 at 6:30 pm. Be sure to register in advance so you
don't miss all the fun! Visit or call the Sage Children's Department at
892-8555 option #5.
Also in October, children's recording artist and educator, The Merry Music
Maker, will perform an all ages concert and present a workshop for early
childhood educators.
The Merry Music Maker: Musical Adventure Concert is a
hand clappin,' toe tappin' good time! Her up-beat music, creative movement,
silly characters, funny puppets, and use of sign language will have your
child begging for more.

October 2 at 2:00 pm; Auburn Area Branch Library (235 W. Midland Rd.,
Auburn, 662-2381 option #4) on Tuesday, October 12 at 6:30 pm and Pinconning
Branch Library (879-3283 option #3) on Wednesday, Oct 13 at 6:00 pm.
Early childhood educators are invited to attend
Time for Sign With Little
Hands: An Interactive Workshop for Early Childhood Educators at the Wirt
Public Library on Saturday, October 2 from 10:00 to 11:30 am. The Merry
Music Maker (Paula Doak) will teach participants how to incorporate sign
language into story time, circle time and music activities! Registration is
required at the Wirt Children's Services Department. Visit or call 893-9566
option #5.
