The American Athletic Association/Greater Bay Boxing Center Presents It's Annual "Fall Fight Night" Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Michigan National Guard Armory located at 2510 E Wilder Rd., Bay City.
This annual action-packed event showcases amateur Bay City boxers against boxers from Cleveland, Ohio, Sault St Marie, Canada, Sault St Marie, MI and other clubs throughout the state of Michigan.
According to Head Coach Robert Arsenault, there will also be fighters from the United State Olympic Education Center (Northern Michigan) on the card.
Twelve to fifteen bouts are scheduled. Headlining this bout card will be Mike VanDorn 178# Frank Pingatore 178#, Lawrence King-Miller 132# and Saginaw's 2010 Golden Glove State Champion James Young 152#.
Coach Arsenault said, "We have lots of new faces, new talent coming in this year, Boxing is definitely making a comeback!" Arsenault continued, "Anyone is welcome in this gym anytime. Were always accepting new talent ages 12 and up. (Must join or be a member of USA Boxing)
Coach Arsenault, said, "Our certified coaches are very enthusiastic and dedicated to the youth. I couldn't do it without them." Coaches include, Jim Maciag, Dan Sawyer, Branden Arsenault, Matt Maciag.
Tickets are $20.00 general admission and $15.00 in advance at:
(Above Left) Jimmy Albazzi, 14, of Saginaw, 141# Record 0-1 (Above Right) 20 year old, Frank Pingatore, of Midland is a Junior at Northwood. Pingatore said, "The ABAA coaches are the best coaches I've ever had and easy to get along with." Pingatore said, he's been boxing since July, and likes the competitiveness."
(Above Center) Mike VanDorn, 24, of Bay City, said, "I'm in the best shape I've ever been in, I love boxing and the competitiveness, when I started boxing I was 230 pounds, now I'm down to about 178."
