One of the Great Lakes Bay Region's favorite places to enjoy the traditions of the holiday season is historic Downtown Bay City, where value is measured by warm smiles, locally owned businesses and special holiday activities.

Each Sunday in the City includes so many ways to enjoy the sights, the sounds and the joy of the season. Our many one-a-kind shops and eateries are beautifully decorated and shining bright! Downtown is the perfect place to celebrate the holidays and create special memories with friends and family.

Everyone loves a little savings during the holiday with another Downtown tradition, the Santa Buck. A special holiday coupon to use at participating businesses all over town! Over 100,000 Santa Bucks will be distributed. Plus, this year the Santa Buck can also be printed from the Downtown website, downtownbaycity.com

Each Sunday during this Holiday Celebration: Santa Buck With this special certificate, holiday shoppers will receive $5 off regularly priced items each Sunday at 31 businesses. The total Santa Buck value is $155.00!!!

FREE Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides - Pick-up is from noon until 3 p.m. in front of the13 Washington Ave. Sponsored by Chemical Bank, Kuhn Young Design Group and The Bay City Times.

Strolling Musicians and Carolers Enhance the Downtown holiday experience by performing through-out the streets from noon to 2 p.m. This year's musical entertainment includes the Sweet Adelines, Bay City Central Choirs and various area entertainers. Sponsored by Barb Engelhardt Farm Bureau Insurance, The Barking Club and Thumb National Bank & Trust Co.

Festival of Wreaths - Downtown visitors can enter to win one of the many specially decorated wreaths located at each participating business.

Sleigh of Gifts - One lucky shopper will win all of the gifts donated by the participating Downtown businesses, valued at over $2,000!! The Sleigh of Gifts will be on display at Herter Music Center, 901 Washington Avenue.

Holiday Movies at the State Theatre Every Sunday two holiday movies will be shown at 1:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. at the historic State Theatre, 913 Washington Avenue, graciously sponsored by Edward Jones Investments and The Bay City Times.
