The Frankenmuth Farmers Market celebrates six years of food, fun, and farming festivities with the sixth annual Christkindlmarkt, a traditional European-style Christmas market.
Due to overwhelming response from area artisans, the
Frankenmuth Farmers Market's sixth annual Christkindlmarkt will be expanded
to two locations Thanksgiving Weekend, November 26-28.
The traditional
European-style Christmas market will operate in two heated tents in the
Market's regular season location next to Harvest Coffeehouse in Downtown
Frankenmuth and also directly across the street at 635 South Main Street
next to the Frankenmuth Historical Museum and Chamber Platz. With free
admission, and the Christkindlmarkt runs 10am-8pm Friday, November 26;
10am-6pm Saturday, November 27; and 11am-5pm Sunday, November 28, 2010.
Offering locally produced foods, gifts, art, and more, the festively themed Market ensures shopper's dollars stay circulating in the local economy while preserving our farmers, artisans, and their trades.
The Christkindlmarkt will also offer fresh greenery, wreaths, and garland for décor, baked goods, handmade soaps, local artisanal honey, handmade jewelry, art, German products, and much more.
Sponsors for the Christkindlmarkt include Frankenmuth Credit Union, Wolverine Bank, and ABO Tents. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available, as are opportunities to become a vendor.
