The Board of Directors of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce established the Chamber's 2011 Program of Work at their December 15th meeting.
Twenty committees and councils will be established to carry out six goals and 71 objectives in our Public Affairs, Education/Workforce Development, Business Assistance & Activities and Membership Development divisions.
The Chamber's 25 Board members elected Bay Regional Medical Center CEO
Alice Gerard to serve as 2011 Chair of the Board.
Brad Kessel, COO of Independent Bank, will step into the role of Immediate Past Chair on January 1st.
David Green, Citizens Bank Community Bank President, was named Chairman-Elect, and
Dennis Dobbs, General Manager at Consumers Energy's Karn/Weadock Complex, will serve as Treasurer.

Laurie Bush, Owner/Broker, Harris-Bush Realty.
Business Assistance & Activities -
Chris Monk, General Manager, Citadel Broadcasting.
Education/Workforce Development -
John Mertz, Superintendent, Essexville-Hampton Public Schools.
Public Affairs -
Pat O'Brien, President, EMCOR, Inc.
We would also like to recognize and thank our 2010 Immediate Past Chair,
Mike Debo, Vice President, Chemical Bank - Bay City for his outstanding leadership.
