Eyes Wide Open at the Recent Bay Area Chamber Eye Opener

Eyes were wide open and Chamber Members was full of energy at the recent eye opener breakfast on Tuesday morning, February 1, 2011 -- the eve of the Big Storm that hit the area.
Not only was Chamber President, Micheal Seward full of energy but it seemed everyone who took the podium tried to do their best Mike Seward impression . . . "Good Morning Bay City!"
Must have been something in the coffee.
Chris Girard from Do-All had everyone wondering the night before on facebook -- when he was asking if anyone had a a lady's wig . . . well he was looking for a wig and luck and a facebook friend came to the rescue -- and that allowed him to do a little skit . . . showing up as Linda Richmond.
Do-All, Inc., owners of the 'Coffee News' were the Eye Opener's Coffee Sponsor.
A Brick Award was presented to Dancing Glass, Inc. (Stained Glass & Jewelry Bead Shop) for improving and expanding their existing building located at 3575 North Euclid Avenue in Bay City to a total of 3,000 sq.ft.
Another Brick Award went to the new Latitude 43 Grill & Bar located at 1013 N Henry Street, in Bay City, which opened in December 2010. Owners, Ray & Joe VanMullekom, who purchased the building in March of 2010, gutted and totally renovated the building, and also look to expand the parking lot in the future.
Two new members of the Chamber were welcomed, MET Life and Paramount Rehabilitation Services.
Keynote speaker was Annette Rummel, Great Lakes Bay Region Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Mike Seward, Chamber President said, "The Bay Area Chamber firmly supports the Great Lakes CVB. They were an active leader in getting the legislation passed that maintained funding to support the Bureau."
The Great Lakes Bay Region CVB plans to open an office in Downtown Bay City. Delta college is currently providing space for them at the Delta College Planetarium in Bay City.
According to Seward the next Chamber Eye Opener is March 1st, key note speaker will be Earl Shipp, Vice President of the Dow Chemical Companies, Michigan Operations.
