Too many women die each year because they are unaware that heart disease is their No. 1 killer. Right now, one in three women die of cardiovascular disease and 90 percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease in the future.
On Saturday, February 5 the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women® movement is asking women to make it their mission to fight heart disease. TV5's Tia Ewing will be hosting the casting call and interviewing participants as they share how they've made it their mission to fight heart disease. Women who share their stories have the chance to become a spokesperson for the cause - representing Go Red For Women in marketing materials, at events, on GoRedForWomen.org and possibly in a national television special about women and heart disease.
Highlights include:
Health fair of local organizations
Health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol and the Heart Association?s My Life Check screening
Exclusive Go Red For Women giveaways and more!
For those who are unable to attend the casting call, join the conversation online at GoRedForWomen.org
