Energize is a program of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and works regionally with Midland MyPros, Saginaw YPN and Mount Pleasant YPN. Their mission is to attract, engage and retain young professionals in the greater Bay Area.

The Energize connects to everything educational, fun and current in Bay City and the Great Lakes Bay Region. Their focus is to bring together the talents and insights of emerging young professionals -- 21 and OVER -- from all backgrounds, professions, and lifestyles.

(Right) Eric Warren, of Merrill Lynch who is a part of the steering committee of the Energize Group, was MC at the recent Energize luncheon.

The Group holds a variety of events, including a recent luncheon at the Bay City Country Club. Members and non-members gathered for the luncheon with special guest speaker, John Hiner.

'Leading through change' was the topic of Energize group meeting. John Hiner, Executive Editor of the Saginaw News, The Bay City Times and the Flint Journal was the guest speaker.

Hiner who is raved for his presentations, discussed how the three papers that were fighting to stay alive changed perceptions, created a culture of innovation and turned crisis into opportunities to strengthen and grow in business.
