Journey Tribute Band Performs Valentine's Weekend at Prime

It was a Valentine concert with 'Mejestic' -- A Journey Tribute band at the Prime Event Center in Bay City. The band from Akron, Ohio included, Singer, Keith Wiley, Danny Vincent (Guitar), Tommy Lee Tompson (Keyboard), Jack Elliot (Bass), and Nicky Leper on Drums.

According to Wiley, the band has been together for 8 years. "This is our second time to the Prime Event Center. We like the venue and they treat us well." Wiley continued, "We travel all around Michigan and we also performed at Nascar. We hope to be back soon." added Wiley.

Opening band was '4 warned' from Chrystal Lake.


It was Valentine's weekend. Many couples were celebrating an evening out.

The Prime Event Center in Downtown Bay City is providing Free tickets to the following Tribute Band Shows. "Free Tickets create a full house of people!" said Stephen Coppler, Spokesperson for the Prime Event Center "It sure makes it a fun place to be!"

Free tickets can be picked up at area 7-11s, Hooters of Bay City, and BARTS Restaurant.

  • Saturday February 19, 2011 the Guns n Roses Tribute Band Paradise City returns for a FREE show.
  • Bringing you back to the glory days of Rock and Roll, this show will rock you to the core. Budweiser and Jack Daniels specials all night. Free tickets available now.

  • Saturday, March 5, 2011, the Metallica Tribute Band Four Horsemen make their first appearance at the Prime. We have had Metallica Tribute's before, but nothing quite like this!


  • Saturday, March 19, 2011, Motley Crue tribute band Motley Too makes their first ever appearance at the Prime. This is the #1 Touring Motley Crue tribute in the U.S



  • Also Coming to the Prime Event Center -
    Z-93 'The Rock Station' Presents TAPROOT on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 8pm


    Taproot is a four-piece Nu/Alternative metal group from Ann Arbor, Michigan. They are most known for their hit single "Poem" (#5 most played Rock track in 2002), as well as a number of other singles from 2000 to the present. Taproot signed with Victory Records.

    On April 1, 2010, at midnight, the band released the lead single for their upcoming album. The song was "Fractured (Everything I Said Was True)". A video for the song followed the release soon after debuting on the band's Youtube channel on April 16.

    Soon after, the band released their 7th studio album -- Plead The Fifth.

    Taproot is currently headlining a U.S. tour that began in the spring of 2010 with direct support duties being split between Divide the Day and Anew Revolution, with Ice Nine Kills and labelmates Destrophy as opening acts.
