USA had a lot of height for All Saints to contend with. But the Lady Cougars showed a lot of grit as they held USA to a single basket in the third period. This allowed All Saints in the third period to storm back from a fourteen point deficit to close the gap to two points entering the final period. USA's inside game proved to be the difference as the Lady Patriots came away with a 46 to 37 win.

USA put on the full court press from the opening tip off which kept All Saints off balance. The pressure helped generate early points as USA started the game with a 9-0 run before the Lady Cougars could get on the board. Facing a much taller inside team, All Saints started hitting from the outside to keep even with USA for the rest of the period making it 15-7 after one period of play.

USA continued to use their height advantage sporting to young and talented 6'0 girls. This allowed them to work inside shots and out rebound the Lady Cougars. All Saints continued to struggle shooting from the outside allowing USA to tack on 7 more points to their lead and enter the halftime locker room with a 27 to 13 lead.

All Saints made some key adjustments that totally shutdown USA and allowed All Saints to climb back into the contest. Starting off with a tight 2-3 zone defense, they crowded the paint forcing USA to shoot outside. This also gave them a rebound advantage which limited USA to single attempts at the basket. Initially All Saints took advantage of the rebounds by pushing the ball up court and going on a 7-0 over the first two minutes. But USA adjusted shutting off the fast breaks. All Saints outside shooting continued to fall short as neither teams scored until just under two minutes in the period. USA scored their lone basket of the quarter then All Saints went on another 7-0 run to end the quarter. While spreading their offense out, the Lady Saints looked for players to slash to the basket as they were able to generate some points and finish the quarter two down at 29-27.

USA started the final quarter with two quick baskets. While All Saints continued to put great pressure on the guards, the Lady Patriots showed patience as they moved the ball around looking for the inside shot. Sophomore Miranda Fuerst took over inside as she powered in close shots and grabbed rebounds to help USA pull away. Meanwhile the Saints continued to struggle outside as USA pulled out a 46 to 37 win.

All Saints we led by Megan Marvin who tallied 9 points while Michelle Kleinau added 8.

Miranda Fuerst led all scorers with 14 points with Chelsey Ewald adding 8.
