Thumb National Bank CEO, Jay Dubey was enjoying the evening. About an hour into the Bay City Chamber "Business After Hours" event on St. Patrick's Day, Dubey was all smiles.

"Beautiful weather, beautiful Bay City, St. Patrick's Day and all these people having a great time," Dubey said. "What's not to like? This is just terrific to be able to host this event on this particular day."

Thumb National Bank has offices on Center Ave and Wilder Road (Two-Mile) in Bay City but also has locations in Pigeon, Cass City and Caseville. "It was a great (business) move to come to Bay City," Dubey said. "We love this building and are so pleased that we were able to keep it in use."

The Thumb National Bank location is in the former Bay City Public Library Main Branch that was vacated when the Library System expanded and built a new facility closer to downtown Bay City.

"You can never really measure the return from an event like this," Dubey said. "But Bay City is all about St. Patrick's Day and we're just pleased to be right in the middle of it."
