At The Age of Thirteen

I think my passion for fitness began when I was around the age 13.

My oldest bother (now deceased) got me into weight lifting. We were 10 years apart in age. I remember him pushing me to surpass my goals. And he probably was my #1 fan and supported me, no matter what I did.

My sister who was MVP of the BCC Track Team, began my interest in running, which I do to this day . . . and is still one of my favorite forms of an intense work out.

Another brother's passion for motocross (which is one of the most physical demanding sports) led me to focus on my cardio workouts. And my brother also always gave me encouragement, for example, when I moved up to a 125 (motocross) bike, and I didn't think I could do it, he said, "You can do it!" Well I still crashed, but I did get back up.

And Living in the south end . . . brought out the Tom-boy inside of me. The neighborhood kid's idea of fun was sometimes, fighting matches. And back then, there were no separate divisions of boys and girls. So I may have not prevailed against a neighborhood kid who shall remain nameless. None the less, I did my best and it made me stronger.

I took the usual dance and gymnastics classes to add to other athletic programs, Track, Powderpuff Football, Basketball, that kept me active and fit.

Over the years, I've included home fitness into my workout programs and had the typical work out equipment, airdyne, bo-flex, attended kick boxing classes and spent countless dollars every month for gym memberships.

Since 2007 I have saved money, with one workout program called P90X, produced by the Nation's #1 Health, Fitness & Nutrition company in the nation, called Beachbody.

I've always wanted to help other people in their weight struggle, making a change to their body and mind. Thoughts of becoming a personal trainer had always entered my mind. In 2010 I learned of the coaching opportunity that Beachbody offered.

I took this opportunity, and can say it has been the one of the best decisions I have ever made for not only for my physical standpoint, but also the opportunity to help many others.

Through the help of the very supportive Team at Beachbody and coaches, My goal is to help people who want to change their life for the better and live a happy, healthy lifestyle.
