Mayor's Annual Clean Up Day Scheduled

Got trash? Something you just can't get rid of? Need a new recycling tub? If so, keep this Saturday on your calendar.

The Mayor's Annual Clean Up Day will be held Saturday, April 16 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Two locations will be open:
  • 612 Fisher Street (at the bend where Fisher and Walnut meet) (Click for Google Map)
  • The Madison Ave parking lot between 4th and 5th streets. (Click for Google Map)

    FREE STUFF!

    Recycling tubs: Besides dropping off junk, you can pick up a new recycling bin at either location. (You may need to show proof of residency with a drivers license or a city utility bill.)

    Free CFL's: If you are a Bay City Electric customer you can also receive six FREE compact fluorescent light bulbs! CFL's use 75% less energy and can last 10 times longer than regular bulbs.

    Earn $20! Bay City Electric customers can also receive $20 for recycling inefficient, but working, air conditioners and dehumidifiers. Bring in up to two units to recycle.

    Earn $30! Bay City Electric will pay customers $30 for recycling an old refrigerator or freezer. Those things can cost you up to $150 a year to operate. Make a pickup appointment at either location. You can also visit www.jacoinc.net to sign up on-line.

  • Working room air conditioners and dehumidifiers.

  • combustible materials
  • commercial or contractor waste
  • concrete

  • food waste
  • gas cylinders
  • liquid and hazardous waste
  • paint cans
  • rocks
  • steel pipe
  • toxic materials
  • tree stumps
  • yard waste
  • tires
