Downtown Bay City's Newest Event
Thursday, May 12, 2011

Based on the success of Downtown Bay City's famous fall event, Wine Walk, the owners of our cool Downtown eateries and pubs got together and decided it was time to highlight another of Bay City's favorite things - Beer.

On Thursday, May 12, 2011, from 5 to 10 p.m., fifteen (15) of Downtown's finest restaurants and pubs will come together to create an evening of specialty beer samplings from around the world, along with delicious appetizers.

Great food and refreshments, great friends, in a great place - how lucky can the Great Lakes Bay Region be!

It's Downtown Bay City's Newest Event Apps & Ales !

Tickets are $25 each and are now available at each of the participating establishments. Each attendee will receive two samplings of beer along with appetizers at each location, along with a commemorative 2011 Apps & Ales pilsner-style glass. Plus, there'll be free shuttle limos and live music all over town. We know it will be a sell-out!

Just a taste of the offerings ... Wisconsin Cheese Soup, Summer Shandy Salsa and Beer Cheese Spread, paired with Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark and Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy at Striker's Sports Bar, with appetizers prepared by Smart Choice Café Catering.

Pulled Pork Sliders, Jambalaya and Chili Con Queso with Nacho Chips, paired with Michigan Brewing Co.'s Bad Ass and Atwater Brewing Co.'s Dirty Blonde is being served at Rattlesnake Rick's Roadhouse. And at Downtown's newest establishment, World Café, Chicken Shawarma and Lamb Meatballs will be served with samplings of Phelan Irish Red ale and Hell's Half Mile lager.
