As an anchor for Bay City Riverwalk and comprised of 12 acres,
it has been 33 years since the founding of the Arboretum
spearheaded at that time by longtime garden club member Willie Mae McLean.
However the southwest quadrant was never finished and now historic
Trombley House sits alone, not connected to the park where it is located.
Planned are walkways, new plantings, benches and lighting.
Individual element sponsorships are available for anyone who would like to contribute.
The Garden Walk begun in 2002 has funded many parks and
garden improvements around Bay County over the years.
Now the Bay City Garden Club is again taking the lead to finish this final section with much community support.
"From Agriculture to Horticulture- gardens in the township" promises to give every level of gardener ideas to transform their own gardens into retreats.
Tickets to these 6 spectacular gardens are $10 EACH & available at:
BAY LANDSCAPING, BAY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, BEGICK NURSERY, BOEHLERS' GREENHOUSE, COUNTRY LOFT, FROM BUDS TO BLOOMS, HERMAN HISS & CO., LITTLE HOUSE, MAPLEWOOD PHARMACY, MONITOR PHARMACY, MY SECRET GARDEN, SMITH'S OF MIDLAND, UNIQUE FLORIAL, VIOLETS BLUE & WARMBIER FARMS
LUNCH by Do-All's Smart Choice Cafe will be served from 11am to 2pm at the Besaw home
tickets are $10 and available at all ticket locations as well as at the luncheon site.
Come make a day of touring beautiful gardens grow into the completion of the Arboretum -- AN INVESTMENT IN EVERYONE'S FUTURE THRU OUR LINK TO THE PAST!
