We the People Pledge Allegiance to....Secret Tax Nullifier Grover Norquist?

Nobody likes taxes, but we agree to pay them as part of our duty as cooperative citizens of the greatest nation in world history.
How many of us know that the fiscal fate of our nation is held in the grip of a non-elected ultra conservative tax anarchist named Grover G. Norquist?
Could our nation future, fate and people be torpedoed by a fear-mongering group we know little about? How can this be possible?
The 54-year-old Harvard MBA Norquist heads Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), a group that organizes the TAXPAYER PROTECTION PLEDGE, which asks all candidates for federal and state office to commit themselves in writing to oppose all tax increases. In the 112th Congress, 236 House members and 41 Senators have taken the pledge. On the state level, 13 governors and 1249 state legislators have taken the pledge.
All but 13 Republican members of Congress have signed this pledge. Republicans' refusal to consider tax hikes of any kind is poisoning negotiations on reducing the deficit and raising the debt ceiling, Democratic Senate Leader Harry Reid told The Hill capitol newspaper recently.
What does this pledge say? Here is the text of the pledge taken shortly after his election last year by Sen. Scott Brown, Massachusetts Republican:
"I, Scott Brown, pledge to the taxpayers of Massachusetts and to the American people that I will: ONE, oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and TWO, oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates."
In other words, even taking corrective actions eliminating loopholes that create illegal subversion of the tax code are prohibited under this pledge.
That means that many elected representatives and other officials are beholden not to the needs of voters in their districts, but to the megalomania of Grover Norquist.
The constitution and the entire structure of government apparently have been hijacked by these fanatics.
We hear commentators say "If John Boehner agrees to raise taxes, he can't go home." Never explained is the fact that Boehner and 235 of his House colleagues are in fear of doing the right thing in the national interest. They must follow Norquist or, apparently, face defeat at the polls in their home districts by Norquist's cronies.
Despite their promises to follow the sacred constitution, these legislators appear willing to see the nation's fiscal integrity destroyed rather than to respond to a need for fairness in taxation.
It is not political, but rather patriotic, to follow the constitution, in our opinion.
A government held in bondage to the wealthiest citizens is no longer a government of the people. It becomes like in ancient times, an oligarchy, a plutocracy -- rule by the rich. The democratic-republican institutions and safeguards of the past 235 years will have been subverted by one dictator -- Mr. Norquist.
While the Internet is flooded with screeds accusing President Obama of Muslim affiliations and sympathies, how many know that Norquist apparently is a front for Muslim groups?
What liberal fool brought such a charge? No, not a liberal, but conservative leader Frank Gaffney who warned at a recent CPAC conference that Grover Norquist, the anti-tax activist and influential Republican strategist, was spearheading 'active measure' campaigns within the conservative establishment on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood.
"I believe the conservative movement is being subjected to a concerted Muslim Brotherhood infiltration effort," Gaffney said, adding that Norquist began his insidious effort in the 1980s. Norquist's wife is Muslim and funding for ATR reportedly came from wealthy Muslims who have been convicted of terrorism ties.

Norquist's Palestinian wife, Samah Alrayyes -- who was director of communications for his Islamic Free Market Institute until they married in 2005 -- are very active in "Muslim outreach." Just six weeks after 9/11, The New Republic ran an exposé explaining how Norquist arranged for George W. Bush to meet with fifteen Islamic supremacists at the White House on September 26, 2001 -- to show how Muslims rejected terrorism.
How many know that Norquist also was tied in with the notorious Jack Abramoff who is serving a prison term for corruption, including bilking Indian tribes out of millions?
How many of us could do anything about it even if we wanted to?
If the power of this secret governmental manipulator maintains and our elected representatives fail to preserve the nation's financial integrity because they are pledged to Emperor Norquist we could all suffer permanent bankruptcy.
A nation that fails to meet its financial obligations becomes a rudderless ship adrift on a sea of total hopelessness.
Without positive action by Congress to guarantee payment of government debts like bonds purchased by other countries including Japan, China, Russia and India, catastrophe will descend.
Such a calamity will be caused by the refusal of Congressional delegates to follow constitutional mandates to "establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity."
We appear fated to see our 235 years of liberty thrown to the wind by representatives pledged not to fulfill the wishes of their constituents but to follow the false god, the anti-tax zealot -- Grover Norquist.
Such a situation is, we believe, unprecedented in the history of the U.S.A. It appears to rival John Calhoun, South Carolina senator whose advocacy of nullifying federal laws led to the Civil War.
Such actions are anarchy, by any measure or judgment.
Before this goes any further, we urge law enforcement to launch an immediate investigation of Grover Norquist and ATR.
What are their real motives?
Who is really behind them?
Are the Muslim charges true?
This threat to our nation seems vastly more serious than anything Sen. Joe McCarthy was howling about re Communists in the State Department in the 1950s.
The most alarmist voices over the past six years that Norquist has been active have stated the fear that the Muslims are trying to destroy Western civilization and the first step is the self-devastation of the American economy through the Trojan Horse of tax reform.
Conservative editor Pamela Geller writes persuasively in American Thinker:
"Grover Norquist should be a pariah, not a king maker. If we can't get obvious enemies removed from conservative positions of leadership, we won't get elected the kind of men -- honorable men -- that we need to turn the tide.
"Norquist must be rebuked."
