    Governor Rick Snyder will be the keynote speaker at "Bay Area ... On the Go!", a development profile, Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Doubletree Hotel Bay City-Riverfront.

    The event is produced by your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce in association with the Dow Chemical Company, WNEM TV-5, Wildfire Credit Union, Saginaw Valley State University and Thumb National Bank.

    "Bay Area ... On the Go!" is the premier economic development program in Bay County. The event is presented by Your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce in association with The Dow Chemical Company, Wildfire Credit Union, WNEM TV5, Saginaw Valley State University and the Premier Sponsors of the Bay Area Chamber.

    Harvest Hall, a Bay Area development expo with an agribusiness theme will be held throughout the day in the Conference Center Foyer. Harvest Hall is open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

    Wayne Wood, President, Michigan Farm Bureau and Jim Byrum, President, Michigan Agri-Business Association will present a fast paced, exciting and informative forum on agribusiness in the Bay Area. Michigan Sugar Company's Ray Van Driessche, will emcee the forum titled "It's Pure Michigan -- Pure Bay Area".

    The luncheon program will be emceed by WNEM TV5's, Eric Jylha.

    During the luncheon program, a professional video, produced for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Council, by world famous videographer, Ric Mixter, will be unveiled. The production is entitled "Maximum Yield: The Impact of Agribusiness in the Bay Area".

    Award presentations will be made to the Bay County Farm Bureau and leading Bay Area agribusinesses.

    We are also looking forward to a dynamic presentation by Governor Rick Snyder as a highlight of the luncheon program.

    A "Pure Michigan - Pure Bay Area" wine and cheese tasting will be held as a compliment to the Harvest Hall Development Expo following the luncheon event.

    This event ties in nicely with the Bay City Wine Walk scheduled from 5:00 -10:00 pm and a 7:00 pm State Theatre Concert featuring country music artist Collin Raye.

    Cost to participate in all the great events that are part of our September 22nd "Bay Area ... On the Go!" is $375 for a table of 10 or $40 per person.
