Fresh off last weeks win over Mayville, All Saints had their sights set on a repeat performance of last years game when they defeated Reese denying the Rockets of an outright league championship. Unfortunately for the Cougars, Reese hadn't forgotten that event and was equally determined to close out their regular season with an undisputed championship for themselves. The Rockets came out hitting hard, fast and often for which All Saints had no answer as Reese rolled to a 50-0 win.

Reese opened up by stopping All Saints on their opening possession. Then after the Cougar punt was returned to the Cougar 18, the Rockets wasted little time scoring as Cody Peyok found Adam Leflor for a 15 yard scoring strike. When Mike Frost ran in the two point conversion, the Rockets were on their way 8-0.

After an initial seven yard loss, All Saints couldn't move the ball and punted giving the Rockets good field position. From his own 41 yard line, Tyler Backman peeled off a 24 yard run. Then four plays later he scampered 22 more yards for a touchdown and with the kick, Reese was up 15-0.

Following an interception, Reese struck right back again. This time it was Chad Gruber who did the damage as he took the ball on the first play from scrimmage and ran 58 yards for a touchdown giving Reese a 22-0 lead after the first quarter of play. Reese started the second quarter with the ball. On their second play, Beckman raced 20 yards for a score making it 29-0. Then the Cougars got their offense rolling triggered by two key pass plays. First QB Williams Daniels hit Jared McCure for 28 yards then moments later found Nick Hunter on a fourth and five play good for 18 yards putting the ball on the Rocket 6 yard line. But a fumble ended the drive for the Cougars.

Reese quickly struck back as they moved the ball out to mid-field on four plays. After a holding penalty moved the ball to their 39, Peyok hooked up with Adam Lefler on a 61 yard scoring pass and just that quick it was 36-0. All Saints showed good fight as they moved the ball to mid-field before time ran out in the first half.

Great hit on this Rocket but you would know, not listed on the roster I was given. Sorry.

A running clock and the quick strike offense of Reese was the story of the second half. Reese opened the second half with a 51 yard touchdown run by Travis Stockmeyer on the third play of the half. After a three and out by the Cougars and a solid return to the Saints 29, it was Stockmeyer again with a 25 yard scamper making it 50-0 to end the scoring for the game.

Reese was lead on the ground by Chad Gruber who ran for 103 yards on 9 attempts. Tyler Beckman added 68 with Travis Stockmeyer adding 76.

All Saints was lead by Williams Daniels who had 74 yards in the air to go with his 18 rushing yards.

All Saints closes out their season this Friday as the travel to Saginaw to take on Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
