As heard on the Bob & Tom Show:
Nick Griffin & Patti Vasquez

Wheels 104.5 presents Comedy Night at the State Theater in Bay City featuring as heard on the Bob & Tom Show: Nick Griffin & Patti Vasquez on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 7:00 PM

Nick Griffin started his stand up career in Kansas City at the age of nineteen. By the time he graduated from college three years later, he was working full time all across the country. He moved to New York City in 1990 cutting his teeth on midnight shows in Greenwich Village. He was poor and alone but getting funnier and funnier.

Eventually he relocated to Los Angeles and quickly became a regular at the world famous Improv and The Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach.

During this time, he appeared on a handful of television shows including A and E's An Evening at the Improv and Comedy on the Road. He also began writing for television.

Nick was a staff writer on the Keenen Ivory Wayans Show in 1996. And later a head writer for the Bobby Slayton/Sue Murphy radio show. But his first love was always stand up comedy. In 1998 he was invited to take part in the New Faces show at The HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. That same year he made his network television debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, as well as Comedy Central's Premium Blend.

Nick has made multiple appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. Last year Nick taped his own Comedy Central Presents, which is airing this Spring.

He now headlines America's best comedy clubs and is a regular guest on nationally syndicated radio's The Bob and Tom Show. Nick is still alone, but still getting funnier with each passing day. (Why screw up a good formula, right?) His comedy is personal, precise and powerful. It's true

Patti Vasquez, a Chicago native, got her start over a decade ago at Zanies Comedy Club. Since then she has gone on to perform three hit solo shows- 'Pregnant Party Girl: From Stoli's to Stirrups' , 'Mamacita: Tales of a Diaper Diva' and 'Tequila and Shamrocks: Every Flower Has Her Roots' written and performed by Patti for theater audiences. She has appeared in comedy festivals including HBO's Las Vegas Comedy Festival, the Chicago Comedy Festival and Marshall's Women in Comedy Festival in New York.

As a regular guest on the wildly popular Bob and Tom radio show, Patti reaches audiences around the world. She is currently touring cities across the country with the Bob and Tom Comedy All Stars. Her unique perspective on family and relationships has been described as 'comedy with a heart'.

In her hometown of Chicago, Patti can be heard regularly with popular radio host Steve Cochran. Chicago based shows such as Fox 'Good Day Chicago', WGN's Morning News and NBC Morning Show welcome Patti to promote upcoming performances.

She has participated in fund-raising events for groups such as Gilda's Club, Autism Speaks, Susan G. Komen, Almost Home Kids, Epilepsy Outreach and The Brain Research Foundation. Patti recently appeared on TBS' brand new series 'The Very Funny Show' taped during the 'Just for Laughs' Comedy Festival.

She has co-written a sitcom pilot entitled 'The New Normal' based on her life's experiences in a multi-generational, multi-racial, underemployed, special needs family. Patti is currently busy writing her first book 'ZIP IT!- Just Because You Can Talk Doesn't Mean You Should!'
