More than 85% of the members of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce are small businesses. Collectively, small business in the Bay Area is our major employer. Small business also provides the best opportunity for employment growth throughout our region.

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is embarking on an initiative to better understand the needs of its member organizations with 50 or fewer employees. Based on what we learn through this process, we will explore opportunities to enhance our services to our small business members.

A Small Business Task Force of Sita Compton, David Green, Kay Johnson, Chris Monk, Greg Schultz, and Jeff York is guiding the development of the survey and will review the results before they are presented to the Chamber board of directors for future planning. Your input is extremely valuable.

All responses to the survey will be anonymous, and we promise to maintain confidentiality. The Chamber has contracted with Crystal Planning Solutions to conduct the survey and will receive an aggregate report of the survey responses.

It should take between 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. Small businesses who are members of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and haven't received a survey by e-mail or mail yet, may send a message to info@crystalplanningsolutions.com and one will be sent to you.

Taking the survey is very important so we can better understand the needs of our small business members. With this information we hope to create better programs and services that focus on those needs to help the betterment of the business community in the Bay Area and the Great Lakes Bay Region.

The role of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is to help improve the economic climate business environment and quality of living in the Bay Area. Serving the needs of our local small business community to help them grow and thrive is one of the ways we do that.
