Over 40 Artisans at Christkindlmarkt, Frankenmuth
More than forty artisans will feature their unique offerings at the Frankenmuth Farmers Market's seventh annual Christkindlmarkt continuing December 2 through December 4, 2011. This traditional European-style Christmas Market provides festive fun, delicious food, and shopping from the largest assortment of vendors in the Market's history. The Christkindlmarkt will operate in a heated tent in the Market's regular location next to Harvest Coffeehouse in Downtown Frankenmuth as follows:
10am-7pm Friday, December 2
10am-7pm Saturday, December 3
11am-3pm Sunday, December 4
A Farmers Market at heart, the Christkindlmarkt features a vast array of traditional, locally made foods including Chestnut Farm chestnuts (Yes, warm and roasting over an open fire!) and chestnut products, Butter Crust Bakery Christmas candies and pastries, Uncle Bob's Smoky Mountain Sauce, Bavarian Specialties' imported German delights and gifts, Fudge Kitchen's Frankenmuth fudge and roasted nuts, Sansonetti's sauces, Eklund's Kettle Corn, Dean's Smoked Meats, Trammel's Sweets, Original Strudel Factory's famous strudels baked on-site, Six Lugs' cherry products, Sweetz' Maple Syrup, Miller's Orchard apples and pies, and much more.
Unique jewelry will be available from Stones by Stu, Honeycombe Crafts, Cascadia, Fariering Fused Glass, and more. Clothing creations are offered by Treece Clothiers, Ashley Scarves, Bean Shirts, Alpaca Farms knitwear, and even Black Swamp Chain Mail. Trim the tree and deck the halls indoor and out with Jacque Beyer's hand-painted ornaments, Sterling Metal Art, Madar Wood Carvings, Wild Birds Unlimited, Pike's Wood Shed wooden creations, Farmbrook Design garden art, Mary Blossom's Decorative Arts, and fresh garlands and wreaths woven before your eyes by Hoffman Farms.
Other gifts include artisanal soaps by Kapow and Zach Kidder, Urban Dream Farm alpaca wool, Godfrey Baskets, and books by 4-H, Frankenmuth German Club, and Robert Smith. A rotating roster of artisans will appear each day to create an ever-changing assortment of gift ideas. Frankenmuth Farmers Market shirts and merchandise will also be available, along with Market Money gift certificates.
The Christkindlmarkt is generously sponsored by Frankenmuth Credit Union, Sullivan's Black Forest Brew Haus & Grill, and ABO Tent Events.
