It was smooth sailing to the Chamber Eye Opener Breakfast at Bay Valley Hotel & Resort, said Eric Jylha, as the recent construction has been completed on Bay Road.
It was a full house for the Eye Opener Holiday Program which enlightened everyone's spirits with featured guests, Kurt Miller, Carrie Rostollan and the Sweet Adelines as they captivated the attendees with laughter, magic and music.
The Tri-City Chorus/Sweet Adelines sang Christmas songs to set the mode as everyone enjoyed their breakfast.
Alice Gerard, Chamber Chair, was honored with a comical skit, which included Kurt Miller. Gerard's term as Chamber Chair Person of 2011 comes to a close. President Elect is David Green.
The Bay Area Chamber has partnered with HAP's "Boots for Kids" program From now until the end of January, the Bay Area Chamber is collecting new children's winter boots that will be distributed to the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City. Help prevent local children from facing a bitterly cold winter with a warm pair of boots.
Mike Seward said, "We encourage all of our members to show your holiday spirit by bringing a pair of boots for kids to our drop off station at Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. If you prefer, you can drop off a store gift-card, cash or check made out to Good Samaritan Rescue Mission."
As an attendee of the Chamber eye opener you can expect to enjoy a wonderful breakfast, be informed of news in and around the Great Lakes Bay Region, network with other Chamber members, have the opportunity to promote your business, be entertained, and guaranteed comical moments. It's a great way to start the day! (The eye opener breakfast is held once a month at Bay Valley Hotel & Resort)
