Five Year Old Zack Cheney wasn't sure what he was going to buy when he had his opportunity to shop with a cop. But he knew who he was buying for!

"Nobody but me" said Zack with a huge smile.

Zack was one of 46 local children who had the opportunity to Shop With A Cop on Wednesday Dec. 6th. "This is Meijer's 13th year being involved with the Shop with A Cop Event which has reached out to over 450 children since it's inception." Said Roger Dominowski, Store Manager of the Wilder Road, Meijer Location.

"This year we teamed up with The Bay Area Community Foundation. Eileen Curtis and her staff have been a tremendous help with this event", Dominowski continued.

"The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of The Bay Area Community Foundation is a group of 7th-12th Graders who volunteered their time to wrap presents for the children," Said Curtis, who serves as President & CEO of The Bay Area Community Foundation. "Plus the Committee donated almost $1,700 to help support another 17 children for this year's event." Eileen continued.

Police officers county wide showed up to support this year's event. The Saginaw Spirit's Tadeas Galansky & Sam Povorozniouk were on hand signing autographs, balloon figures, DJ, and several Meijer employees were all involved to make this year's event a continued success.
