Drawing a non-resident bow tag in Iowa has become the pinnacle for serious whitetail hunters in the last decade. When Wild Addiction pro-staffer Chad Kious drew that coveted tag this year, he couldn't help but think about a perfect week of hunting during the Iowa rut. Dreams of cold, crisp, still days became more vivid with each passing day.

How quickly dreams can turn into nightmares.

"I could not believe what I was watching when I first got a chance to look at the footage from Chad's week in Iowa," recalled Wild Addiction host Tim Roller. "This was simply some of the nastiest conditions you could ever imagine hunting in -- and they seemed to change every few hours!"

Viewers will watch Kious hunt in every conceivable weather condition during his week in Iowa. Strong winds, heavy rain, blizzard snow -- you name it, they got it.

"To Chad's credit, they were in a tree everyday. I don't know many hunters that would have stuck it out in those conditions, especially with thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment," says Roller.

Kious was rewarded with a well-earned buck after a week of close encounters in the nasty conditions.

"Many people have preconceived notions about where and how we hunt," explains Roller. "Chad's hunt, just like all of the other hunts you'll see on Wild Addiction, was done completely on his own in 100% wild, fair-chase conditions. During hunts like that, you have to deal with the cards you're dealt and Chad did an incredible job with that! This hunt had less to do with the buck he ultimately shot, and way more to do with the perseverance he showed in getting it."

The hunt for this incredible deer can be seen on Tim Roller's Wild Addiction TV in 2012, and also on their newest Whitetail DVD release, due out in the spring of 2012. Currently, Tim Roller's Wild Addiction airs three times each week, from July through December, to over 27 million viewers nationally on Sportsman Channel. Tim Roller's Wild Addiction is also the lead show in the "Big Game Wednesday" block on Sportsman Channel, airing at 7:00pm est.
