The first 'Rewind in the Winter' -- held January 26th at Bay City's Masonic Temple -- was a huge success according to one of the organizers and Owner of Old City Hall Restaurant, Dave Dittenber.

The event was sponsored by The Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance and all proceeds went toward the group's year-round fundraising effort.

"After 3 successful summer events, we wanted to try one at this time of year to breakup a slow winter," explained Dittenber.

Tony Jeske, Manager of OCH added, "We thought it would be cool to have it in a historic downtown Bay City location."

The 80's music inspired band, 'Mega 80's' kept the guests dancing and all clearly enjoyed their tunes, as well as their show.

Beverages and hearty appetizers were also available during the evening and many in attendance dressed in their best 80's fashions.

The Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance has also announced that "Rewind by the River" will take place on Friday July 27th (2012) and be held at Wenonah Park. The band Mega 80's will again be the featured act at that event. This will also part of the 2012 Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance fundraising campaign.

The Great Lakes Bay Regional Wellness Alliance was founded in 2009 to provide health services to uninsured residents and to help raise funds for other charities in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Some of these charities include: The Toni and Trish House for the Terminally Ill, Studio 23, Eric James Blair Scholarship Foundation, Freeland Area Athletics, Hell's Half Mile Film Festival, The Bay Area Family YMCA, and many more.

The organization has raised more than $25,000 for these local residents and charities and hopes that with your attendance to these great events will help 2012 will be another great year.
