The 2012 Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bay County class is proud to announce this year's project. The class will be working with the Downtown Management Board staff and Bay County high school students to sponsor "Art S.P.A.R.C.", a venture that will create historic murals to be placed throughout the downtown area.
The class chose this project as a way to engage area youth in a venture that will enhance the community. The goal is to connect youth to their community as they learn more about our area's history, all while creating original murals for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come!
Funding for the project comes from a silent auction at the Bay Area Chamber Annual Meeting on Thursday , March 22nd, as well as a grant from the Bay Area Community Foundation. In-kind donations are also accepted for funding (please see the auction item donation form) or additional art supplies to be used towards the creation of the murals. A list of needed supplies can be found on the 2012 Leadership Facebook page, or by contacting Jennifer Grigg at 989-894-8244 or at LeadershipBay12@gmail.com.
