Take two young men with hearty appetites, add 3 pounds of sloppy joe meat sprinkled with cheese, a 12 1/2 inch one pound bun, a pound of french fries, 45 minutes to eat it all and a challenge is born.

The two contestants in this challenge, the second sloppy joe eating challenge at Lucky's Pub, were Zac Rivard and Josh Peters.

Although, the hopes seemed high and confidence was flowing at the beginning of the contest, both eaters noticeably slowed down about 15 minutes in. "I'm already feeling it" said Zac with a somewhat pained look on his face.

Onlooker and the challenge's first contest, Dan Fabera, who conceded defeat 29 minutes into his challenge laughed and said, "I want them to fail, because I lost!"

Both Zac and Josh gave it a good shot and continued eating right up till the time was called, but just couldn't conquer the quest. "The end is near and the sloppy joe wins again!" proclaimed contest promoter, Stephen Coppler.

Surprisingly though, after all that food he ate, Josh was heard to remark, "I could actually eat some dessert right now." and his friend, Josh, agreed.

Contestants get 45 minutes to down the mountainous pile of food, and must remain seated, be at least 18 years old and cannot be under the influence of alcohol.

Winners receive a gift card to Lucky's, a free drink and bragging rights on the Wall of Fame.

Challengers who want to take on cook, Wayne Wilson's colossal creation, can contact Lucky's Pub, at least 24 hours in advance. Lucky's is located at 615 E. Midland St., Bay City, MI in the heart of the Midland Street business district.
