"We are excited to offer this family fun-cation to everyone," says Bonnie Sprague, General Manger.

From the moment you walk into the hotel you feel the continuity of the décor from the Soaring Eagle Casino. "The rustic contemporary design is meant to compliment the other properties," says Sprague.

With the heavy influence of the Ojibwe heritage and culture throughout the facility you will see photographs and art work displayed by local Ojibwe artists and are paired with earth tones and aqua accents to represent nature and keep the water theme. Ojibwe names are also given to different parts of the facility and eating establishments.

You will not want to miss Nokomis (grandmother) the life-like animatronics figure that reads stories to the children in the reception area.

Designed specially with total family entertainment in mind, every detail is geared toward achieving this goal. Every room is supplied with a microwave, refrigerator, and sink for families wanting to bring in their own food and drinks.

The Eagle's Nest Suite is set up with two sets of bunk beds with its own television nestled in a nest like feature sure to excite the little ones. Other suites have a queen size fold out couch for extra sleeping accommodations.

To entertain the teens and tweens in the family, the Cyber Quest Arcade offers violence free games, Makwas Mountain simulates climbing out of a river and on to a mountain, the FlowRider surfing machine challenges their balance and style, and Otter's Run and Loon's Loop are three story water slides that both end into the lazy river.

Younger children and toddlers will be entertained by the massive water structure called Biish Falls with water features galore.

Watch out when you hear the mother eagle call to her babies from the nest above because that is the signal to release 800 gallons of water into the falls and this happens every 5 minutes.

The younger children will also enjoy Gizi's Splash and Dunk which is a smaller pool equipped with a basketball hoop and next to it there is an acorn and log crossing that lets you walk across the water with the support of a net above.

The highlight of the water park for all parents will be the large number of highly trained lifeguards on staff. You can't miss them because they are everywhere. Trained in a rigorous pass/fail program, their expertise is sure to put you at ease.

After a day of fun, the family will not be short on places to eat on site. Nbakade (I'm hungry) is a posh, yet family friendly restaurant with all meals under $25 and overlooks the Waabooz Run Golf Course. If you want to grab food, but not leave the water park area, Wiisinidaa (Let Us Eat) Food Court, has many family friendly food options and snacks for the day.

Parents, you have not been forgotten. The Waabooz Run Golf Course is a par 61, 18 hole executive course to entice the avid golfer, a sunbathing deck outside of the water park provides time for the sun worshippers, an over-sized hot tub is located in the water park, and the bar is hopping until 2 am in Nbakade for some night time fun.

If an eco-friendly hotel is important to you, rest assured this facility is uniquely green going above and beyond. They recycle everything that can be, use eco-friendly cleaning products, and all paper products are made from recycled paper just to name a few. Throw away the coffee grounds? No way! Those are used in the landscape to keep animals away.

For additional information on rates, reservations, limited day passes, and birthday parties please contact the hotel at 1-800-292-8891 or www.soaringeaglewaterpark.com.
