It was standing room only this past Wednesday night for Steve Armstrong and the 25 Cent Beer Band, but not just for their normal Wednesday night live performance.

This time fans and media alike packed the Stables from wall to wall for a very special evening. Steve Armstrong and the 25 Cent Beer Band debuted their first album in front of a special "Brewmasters" (and select media) only crowd.

"Brewmasters" are friends, family, and hard core supporters of Armstrong and his group who have contributed (at least) $100 toward production costs for the CD project.

Also invited are local TV and Radio Media types that have supported the band by covering their successes in the music industry and playing the 25 Cent Beer Band music over the years.

"Brewmasters" didn't just get to hear the album for the first time, and before everyone else, they were also able to mingle with Steve Armstrong and the rest of the band.

Autographs were signed, drinks were shared, and many laughs were had by all.

One of the "Brewmasters" who referred to himself as, "Tequila Larry," has been following the band since he first saw them at the Silver Palace in Essexville over a year ago.

"I've loved them since day one!" exclaimed Larry. "Steve (Armstrong) just signed the shirt I bought from that first night."

"Tequila Larry" is a proud member of the "Brewmasters" and makes it a point to see the band wherever they may be playing.

The evening started off with Josh (Sharrow) and Shawn (Doyle) from Last Choice Country welcoming everyone to the event, quickly followed by the debut of the album. Every couple of songs a member of the band, or Producer Bobby Randall, would give those in attendance a history of the upcoming songs, and why each of them was so special to the band.

It's that kind of attention to the fans, who Armstrong himself referred to as "more than just fans, (you're) family," that really sets Steve Armstrong and the 25 Cent Beer Band apart from so many other artists that are on their way.

But if you ask any member of the band, it's not just their fans who keep them motivated and on the path to success.

"It's all I can do to just play the songs," said Armstrong, "My wife Denise (Armstrong) is the one doing all the marketing, making all this happen.

Plus, she's a lot better lookin' than me, too."

One of Denise Armstrong's many challenges was figuring out how to get the band's name out there, and she came up with the t-shirt so many wore proudly around the Stables.

But it wasn't just the shirts, or the business cards, that Denise Armstrong was responsible for. Denise was also in charge of putting together the CD Release Party.

"I encouraged them (the band) long ago to do something like this."

After all the songs had played the "Brewmasters" were encouraged to stick around for a special edition of the band's regular Wednesday night gig at the Stables, featuring songs off of their debut album. Each and every Wednesday the band will play from 8PM until closing time for everyone in attendance, while having a good time with everyone in the process.

Whether it's the fans, loved ones, or just people who recognize the talent that Steve Armstrong and the 25 Cent Beer Band possess, people just can't deny the electricity and momentum that these men are carrying around with them wherever they go.
