Pinconning bills itself as the Cheese Capital of Michigan. There's little question that's the case when the annual Cheese Town Festival rolls around.
This past weekend featured a Mac & Cheese Cook Off on Friday, a Parade, live music, dancing, foot, games and contests for the kids, and The Ultimate Wine & Cheese Party on Friday.
The CheeseTown Challenge races were held on Saturday. They featured a 5 mile race, a 2 mile run run/walk, and the Little Meeces Race. Entries were expected from all around the state.
Just for fun, here are some pictures from the event.
Basketball challenge anyone?
King of the "hill" battle
Hey Boys! Having fun?
Buses, fire engines, ambulances, lots of walkers and a fair share of politicians walk the parade route through town.
Every festival has to have face painting.
What's a parade without a horse or two?
Hmmmmm... makes me hungry just thinking about it.
One group passed out Popsicles all along the parade route.
One of several inflatable slides
And the best slide of all ends with a big splash!
