Diamond Rio will be the headlining performer for the Sunday show of the 20th annual Labadie Pig Gig on August 5, 2012 in Bay City's Veterans Memorial Park . The weekend event runs August 2nd - 5th and organizers are hoping to reach the $1,000,000 mark in funds raised for area charities.
A special two day sale event will be held to give fans a fantastic opportunity to purchase Diamond Rio tickets for an amazingly low price of just $15.00 per ticket.
The special $15.00 tickets will only be available on Friday, June 29th & Saturday, June 30th at both Labadie locations, (711 S. Euclid and 909 N. Euclid Ave , Bay City ) or online at labadieauto.com. After this two day sale, general admission tickets will be available for $25.00 per ticket.
Diamond Rio is an American country music band formed in 1984 in Nashville Tennessee . In 1991 Diamond Rio released their debut album with the hit single "Meet in the Middle". The song reached Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts, making Diamond Rio the first country music group in history to reach Number One with a debut single.
"Meet in the Middle" was followed by thirty-two more chart singles throughout the band's career, including four more Number Ones: "How Your Love Makes Me Feel" (1997), "One More Day" (2001), "Beautiful Mess" (2002), and "I Believe" (2003).Diamond Rio has recorded seven studio albums, two Greatest Hits compilations, and an album of Christmas music. Three of the band's albums have achieved RIAA platinum certification in the United States.
In addition, Diamond Rio has received four "Group of the Year" awards from the Country Music Association, two Top Vocal Group awards from the Academy of Country Music, and thirteen Grammy Award nominations.
The Labadie Pig Gig is celebrating its 20th Year Anniversary Celebration and has escalated the level of entertainment for this commemorative year.
The Midwest Championship Rib Cook off features rib competitors from all over the country battling for the title of "Best in the Midwest."
There will be 4 full nights of national entertainment as well as Pig Racing, The Charter family fun stage, children's activities, Covenant Healthcare Hospitality Tent, Coors Light Refreshment tent, Charitable fundraising booths, the Catholic Federal 5K Races and much more.
