Candace Bales Right), Exec. Director of the Bay City Downtown Mgmt Board and Asst. Brandi Cramer admire one of the 100s Art Panels on display in Bay City for the upcoming weekend. This panel, in front of Old City Hall was created by BCC's Paul Valencia.

Bay City Western's Mike Day created this floral Art Panel on display across from the Planetarium on Water Street in Downtown Bay City. The panels are on display during the April 8 & 9 Downtown Bay City Spring Open House.

Spring is just around the corner, and Downtown Bay City will be welcoming its arrival with a "Welcome Spring" Open House, April 8 and 9.

If you're thinking spring or just have spring fever, then this event is for you. Twenty Downtown merchants will be holding individual store specials and activities including: Afternoon Tea at Herman Hiss & Co., Sampling of fine hand dipped chocolates from the infamous St. Laurent Brothers (the Nut House), Free Mini Makeovers at Merle Norman Cosmetics and the Grand Opening of You Do The Dishes at 904 Water Street.

In addition, the streets of Downtown Bay City will be filled with color by the placement of over 120 art panels created by local high school students.

The art panels will be displayed on lamp posts throughout downtown. Each art panel will emphasize this year's theme "Welcome Spring".
