We are excited to announce that the 6th Annual FreeMusic Fest (FMF) will be held at Tittabawassee Township Park in Freeland on Saturday, June 8, 2013, from Noon until dusk. A celebration of music and art, FMF features the finest blues, rock, country and jam bands in the area, as well as interactive art activities! FreeMusic Fest is a family event attended by over 3,000 music-loving people, and presents an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to come together and celebrate the kickoff of summer!
FreeMusic Fest has hosted multiple charitable activities in the past, and this year we are very thrilled to announce our partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region! The Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one relationships that change lives for the better, forever, and we couldn't be more honored to support such an important mission.
FMF is also excited to promote the relationship between music and art in 2013 by focusing on interactive arts for festival goers, with the goal of inspiring creativity by participation. Artists & artisans will be demonstrating various styles of art throughout the festival grounds, with free hands-on art in which the public may participate! Activities planned range from painting, to henna art, rug weaving, pottery and sculpture, including a children's area, new food vendors and much more!
