Rotary met at the Country Club on Tuesday. The program was presented by Diana Tomlin and Matt Rassette, who spoke about the upcoming "Fall In Art and Sol" scheduled for this fall.

Art and Sol, which will run this Fall, and is designed to showcase the art, culture and science of the Great Lakes Bay Area. A coordinated promotional campaign will insure that businesses and organizations throughout the area showcase the events with the same advertising and promotions. This branding initiative will focus attention on the unique area of the state.

The promotional campaign is planned to run all October, which is also National Arts and Humanities Month. This national celebration will highlight the importance of culture to the country.

The promotional campaign is being developed by the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance and the regional Convention and Visitors Bureau with support from local businesses and civic associations.

The objective is to encourage people to "fall in" and enjoy the many opportunities across the Great Lakes Bay Region. During October you will find exhibits, performances, workshops, classes, tours and more that show off the best the area has to offer.

Solar artwork lends it's idea to the theme of "Art and Sol". This art form incorporates solar energy in its expression. Both local and international artists are being retained to create works that will be on display through the area. Classes and teacher workshops will help bring the form into the schools.

The vision presented to Rotarians was impressive and inspiring. Much more information is available on the Fall In web site at fallin-glbr.com.
