2013 Fireworks - Three Nights of BOOM!

Bay City's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Festival is history. We know it was successful because the cars leaving town on Midland Street were still lined up at 1:00am in the morning! That's about two and a half hours of traffic!

The show was different this year because of the construction in the Uptown At Rivers Edge development. In the past the show has been shot from both sides of the river, plus from a barge in the middle. This year the new building on the East side meant that everything had to be in a long line on the West side in the ball diamonds.

The fireworks are historically the big drew for Bay City's summer of festivals and fun. Two weeks ago (6/22) the river was alive with the sound of powerboats as the River Roar 26 churned the water between the bridges. In another week the Tall Ship Celebration returns to the river front. At the end of the summer people look forward to the annual River of Time historical encampment.

All in all, the Summer of 2013 brings back all the excitement but with added events and spectacle in Downtown Bay City.

Now, enjoy some of the many pictures MyBayCity took at this year's fireworks. And SEND THIS LINK to your friends and relatives who may have missed the fun!
