Miguel Cabrera - Detroit Tigers
OK. Here's how it is.
Did you see it?
OK. Really. Listen up, then.
OK. Seriously.
Two pitches in a row.
Two pitches = Two Homers.
Here's what happened.
The last thing I saw Saturday night on TV was "Miggy" hitting his 39th homer -- a walk-off, game-winner -- bottom of the ninth inning against Kansas City.
41,000+ at Tiger Stadium went bananas.
(You might have noticed that I've got the fever -- Tiger Fever!
)
And then, when I finally got my Sunday under control and switched on TV to check in on Tigers and Max Scherzer (going for win number 18) . . .
Well, I'm a little late -- It's the bottom of the 1st inning . . .
Runner on first . . . Miggy's up . . . First pitch to Miggy . . . Oh Yeah, Baby!
Line drive "laser" into the left-field seats . . . Tigers 2-0.
Unbelievable!
Two pitches in a row -- Last pitch Saturday night and first pitch on Sunday afternoon -- Two pitches -- Two Homers.
Way too cool for words!
Watching Cabrera hit Major League pitching right now is like watching a video game . . . Miggy might just hit a homer every time he bats.
When the dust settled on Sunday . . .
Scherzer won his 18th game
Miggy has a lock on the Batting Title at .360
Miggy has 40 HR's (Trailing Chris Davis of the Orioles by 5)
Miggy has 120 RBI in 124 games -(Leading Chris Davis of the Orioles who has 115)
Stay tuned . . . 38 Games to Go!
