These ducks are actually helping children in our community because of the CAN Council.

The CAN Council is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Thousands of ducks were launched on the Kawkawlin river in front of Castaways Bar & Grill where the first 10 winning ducks swam away with prizes.

Tom Bradley was the very first duck to finish and he donated back his winning prize of $1000!

Proceeds from this 1st annual Duck Derby went on to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Education programs. Suzanne Greenburg, president & CEO of CAN Council was thrilled with this event outcome and pleasantly surprised by everyone's help. People donated their time, pontoon boats, and kayaks to help in this event that will now be held annually.
