It was a full house at The Village Inn of Linwood as people gathered for wine and beer tasting benefiting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer & the American Cancer Society.

Owner Andrea Fenton was surprised by the large turn out! Local vendors from Bay City and Linwood donated their time and profits from sales of some great goods that included Thirty One bags, Origami Owl Jewelry, scarfs, Charming Peacock Charms, baked goods, and a silent auction.

The main reason for this event was a special woman named Jane Matich. "She helps so many other people and is always donating her time for things like this that we wanted to do something special for her. The many people who are here today is because she is such a great person." -Rachel Maillette, Goddaughter.

Jane has undergone a double Mastectomy 16 years ago and has battled cancer 3 times. Unfortunately her cancer has returned but her family is hopeful and grateful. She has come so far. Jane's high spirits show what a strong woman she is!
