On Wednesday, the Board of Directors of your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, met in a special planning session to start the process of establishing the 2014 Chamber goals, objectives and action plans.
Some of the priority recommendations at the session included:
* Continue to enhance our partnership between business and education;
* Promote waterfront development, including access to the Bay, building a new pier on the Bay and beach cleanup;
* Continue to develop, improve and connect Uptown Bay City and Downtown Bay City;
* Market the Bay Area for business development and expansion;
* Work with local governmental leaders to develop and improve the area;
* Effectively work with state government officials in the legislative and executive branches to represent local businesses.
The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has been "in business for business" since 1882. Our role in the community is to help improve the economic climate, business environment and quality of living throughout the Bay Area.
