The More Solar We Install, the More $$$ Everyone Saves
The project encourages the adoption of small- to medium-scale
photovoltaic systems by aggregating the purchase of the
equipment. The savings from the bulk purchase will decrease
the per-watt cost of solar thereby making purchasing and
installing solar energy more affordable for property owners.
Utilizing a tiered pricing structure means the more solar
installed; the more money customers will save. For example, if a
total of 80 kilowatt (kW) worth of solar were installed the price
per watt would drop from $3.39/watt to $3.25/watt. However, if
more than 200kW of solar were installed within the project period
the price per watt would be $3.08/watt!
Clean Energy Coalition has selected Midland Solar
Applications, Inc., a regionally based company, as the
designated installer for the program. The project is only available to
commercial properties in the following counties: Arenac, Bay, Clare,
Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, and
Tuscola. For a free solar site assessment or more information email
glbrsolar@cec-mi.org or visit http://cec-mi.org/communities/programs/joinglbrsolar.
