The Alma College Choir takes the stage at the Temple Theatre on March 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM to help celebrate the 83rd season of the Saginaw Valley Concert Association. The final two concerts in the 2013-2014 season includes the Rhythm Society Orchestra on April 6, 2014 and the Lincoln Trio on May 4, 2014.

Mini-Series tickets to the final three Saginaw Valley Concert Association events can still be purchased at The Temple Theatre Box Office, 201 N. Washington Ave, Saginaw, MI 48607, by calling The Temple Theatre at (877) 754-7469 or by visiting www.templetheatre.com. Mini-Series tickets for the entire Saginaw Valley Concert Association range in cost from $32.00 to $36.00 for the final three concerts. Single tickets for the Alma College Choir as well as any of the other season presentations can be purchased for $20.00 to $25.00 per show.

The College Chorale is the largest choir on campus and is open to all Alma students based on live auditions. Membership is drawn primarily from the freshman, sophomore and junior classes. Some 15% of the singers are music majors and the other 85% represent every other academic major on campus. The 75-voice chorale is dedicated to developing the musical skills and singing ability of each member, providing singers the chance to rehearse and perform great choral music from the United States and around the world as well as focusing the physical, intellectual and spiritual enjoyment of singing.

The mission of the Saginaw Valley Concert Association is to bring to the Great Lakes Bay Region both national and international artists at a reasonable cost. The Association further resolves to share programs of quality music and other performing arts on a regular basis. EVERYONE may have the opportunity to be exposed to and educated in any of the fine arts that may be available to us. Through these concerts our goal is to bring a greater understanding of the JOY AND EXCITEMENT OF LIVE PERFORMANCE!
