The November 9 program at the Civil War Round Table will feature a Civil War Battlefields presentation by Jim Hollerbach, Bay Cityan who has visited many battlefields around the war zone.

"Civil War Show and Tell" is the title of the first of six programs of the 7th Michigan Cavalry Civil War Round Table slated Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the Stein Haus, 1108 N. Water St.

"Our members are also researchers about Civil War topics, therefore these 'show and tell' programs often are among the best we have," said Dee Dee Wacksman, acting colonel of the volunteer regiment.

Other programs, all at 7 p.m. at the Stein Haus, scheduled this year include:

Nov. 9: Civil War Battlefields, presented by Jim Hollerbach;

Jan. 11: Civil War Medicine, presented by Dr. William George, M.D., alias the Civil War re-enactor Dr. J.J. Bandit;

Feb. 8: Michigan Men in Western Campaigns, presented by Gerry Pergande;

Mar. 8: Sinking of the Sultana, presented by Keith Markstrom; and

Apr. 12: Annual Civil War Dinner and Annual Meeting (speaker and details to be determined).

The organization's statement of purpose is: "Be a part of local history and learn about our Civil War history and the role played by residents and soldiers from the Greater Bay City area, Michigan and the nation."
