A major objective of your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Education/Workforce Development Division is to "Help improve Bay Area public schools by working with local school districts to support quality school facilities and infrastructure improvements".
In keeping with that objective, last month the Board of Directors of the Chamber voted unanimously to support the bonding proposal to improve Essexville-Hampton Public Schools that will appear on the August 5th ballot in that district.
The proposal will include numerous features designed to improve safety and security at Garber High School, Cramer Jr. High School, Bush Elementary and Verellen Elementary schools.
New classroom technology at the four schools will include: computers; projectors; document cameras; google chrome; books & tablets; and new printers. It will also include: wireless connectivity in all school buildings; new phones & communications; office computers/printers/servers; and new public address system on a district wide basis.
Building and grounds improvements, numerous upgrades to athletic facilities and improvements impacting the fine arts programs are also part of this important and positive proposal.
Details on the proposal can be reviewed on the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce website, www.baycityarea.com.
These improvements are for:
our students
our community
our future
If you are a registered voter in the Essexville-Hampton Public School district, we urge you to vote "YES" on August 5th.
